About nzwebs.com
Julianne of nzwebs.com designed her first web site in January 1997, (nearly three years before the domain name nzwebs.com was registered, in October 1999). She has a background in art and design, and is also known to be extremely organised which is a perfect combination for creating web sites. She began designing web sites professionally as nzwebs.com in 1999. Julianne's friendly approachable manner seems to appeal to small business owners and organisation personnel. Oh, and Julianne has a Web Development Diploma from Natcoll.
Julianne also founded and taught Internet at a community cottage (read the case study here) and took part as a tutor in the 2002 Flaxroots Conference at Canterbury University. Her last project at the community cottage involved taking entrepreneurial community members through designing a website and mapping out specific strategies for using the Web for marketing purposes.
Except for a temporary relocation to Wellington after the 2011 earthquake, nzwebs.com is based in Christchurch, but naturally works for clients all over New Zealand and further afield. Most recently Julianne has been working with clients who wish to have more input into their sites by running a CMS (Content Management System).
At the beginning of 2007, we began renting our own servers as an affordable place for the hosting of clients' websites. We also sell domain names, and most people find that having the three essential elements in a web presence (design, domain names and hosting) taken care of by Julianne at nzwebs.com simplifies things for them.
Accompanied by her trusty sidekick, Hambley the pug, Julianne enjoys coming up with new layouts and ideas for clients, easy video tutorials and thinking of ways to make it even easier for people, organisations and businesses to prosper online. In her spare time, Julianne still loves art, writing, home-made gift-making, travel and organic gardening. She enjoys working with other talented family members.
