What do I need to get a web site? Basically, you need three elements to have your website online: One - You need one or more web pages (the website). Two - You need somewhere to put your web pages. The place where the web pages are kept are known as the server or web host. Believe it or not, some servers charge a lot for hosting: roughly $50 to set-up and then you pay a monthly rental of about $25 per month (and upwards.) Our entry hosting package is only $75 + gst per year. Three - You need a domain name or web site address (also known as URL) e.g., nzwebs.com's domain name is www.nzwebs.com - your domain name needs to be configured with wherever your web pages are hosted so that when anyone types in your web site address it points them to your web server where your web pages are hosted. Of course, we can also register your domain for you and point it to your website. The cost of the actual domain name is NZ$53.00 + gst per year - it's also possible to have more than one domain name pointing to your website.

How do I pay? You can pay by cheque or cash, or visa at PayPal. We are also happy to accept payment by automatic bank payments, if this is arranged at the time of booking the work in. A deposit is usually required for new clients. I also offer a 5% prompt payment discount which most clients take advantage of.
How much will it cost to get a web site? The first page of your static web site (including web host/domain name arrangements but not the cost of your domain name ($53.00 + gst) or web hosting) is normally $375 + gst, and every web page after that is $135-$200 + gst depending on content and the number of pages. CMS websites (where you log in through an administrator panel and make your own changes) start at $1,780 + gst which includes an illustrated tutorial (we occasionally have specials on these too, so do ask us if we have one presently when you phone) and optional facebook setup, as well as our short facebook tutorial course on video. We also offer email newsletter tutorials as well (also on video), and look out for our upcoming youtube and twitter tutorials too, exclusive to our clients. Manual Submission to search engines starts at $100 + gst. but you can save money by doing this yourself. Ask me how.
What's the difference between a CMS and a Static Website? The difference is in the freedom you have to update it. Please watch this video to understand it more fully:
